Fighting Type 1 DiabetesTogether
Inspired by the life and accomplishments of Sean Peters, The SP16 Foundation empowers individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes, while supporting the efforts of those working to put an end to the disease for good.
Remembering Sean Peters
Sean M. Peters (1994-2017) was a force of positivity and perseverance. Those who knew him knew a devoted friend ready to face any obstacle with a smile and a joke along the way. Even after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just 17 months old, Sean excelled at anything he put his mind to.
Sean's willingness to rise above this disease didn't stop with just him. After spending eight summers at Joslin Diabetes Camp, he became a counselor, helping to educate and inspire kids dealing with the same challenges. At just 22 years old, Sean's life ended too soon, but his legacy continues through The SP16 Foundation.
